“Eye for an Eye” borrows Ghandi’s famous words about passive resistance which inspired Martin Luther King to adopt non-violence during the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 1960s.

The lyrics are smart and thought-provoking, posing a series of ethical dilemmas about War, revenge and public opinion.
Hunch Power are building themselves a reputation as a socially-conscious act which likes to tackle big topics. They couldn’t remain indifferent to the invasion of Ukraine and the possibility of another World War.

The music is reminiscent of “American Slang” by The Gaslight Anthem and Frank Turner’s “Get Better”, two generational anthems which define Hunch Power’s identity as part of a solid music community.

“Eye for an Eye” was produced, mixed and mastered by Sam Cook (Ducking Punches, Harker). Jack Gregory from Northern Captives and Hell’s Ditch guested on drums again.
